The Galaxy 1 network spans the globe and combines industry standard data centers with a redundant hardware infrastructure as well as redundant connectivity. Galaxy 1 has partnered with a number of terrestrial telecommunications providers ensuring 99.9 availability of the network.
Within the G1 network, closed user groups provide segmentation per customer, end user or project. This secure redundant backhaul is available for a wide variety of mobile satellite services. The data remains “off of the public
grid” and this increased security protects from well-known security problems such as Denial of Service attacks, port scanning, and direct network penetration attempts.
