The Hughes 4500 terminal delivers affordable, end-to-end IP data connectivity for applications in connected vehicle, industrial, fisheries, resource extraction, environmental monitoring, and Smart-Grid monitoring among others.

The low standby power consumption of the Hughes 4500 terminal makes it possible to provide end-to-end IP connectivity to sites that are otherwise off the grid. It is suited to power-challenged locations that rely upon solar-battery arrays with sensitive power budgets.

The Hughes 4500 terminal is environmentally sealed for long-term outdoor installation or on a vehicle, fixed site, or small boat. The installation consists of a single 4500 unit that can be placed at the end of a single cable carrying Ethernet and power. The SIM card is mounted securely inside the 4500 unit.
